SUSTAINABILITY + ETHICS

B–R–B HAS SUSTAINABILITY FRONT OF MIND IN ALL WE DO

Design
Our products are designed with quality and longevity in mind — creative interpretations of archetypes built to outlast seasons and trends.

Materials

We prioritise natural fibres for their lower impact and superior wearing experience, and frequently source deadstock fabrics. Where synthetic fabrics are used, they serve a specific function, such as stretch.

Sampling

All B–R–B sampling is completed in-house. We take the time to ensure garments are highly resolved and well fitting, avoiding the problems in production that lead to waste.

Production

We operate on small production runs and pre-orders, anticipating demand rather than over-producing.

Most of our garments and accessories are made locally, at independent manufacturers.

Where we're unable to manufacture in Melbourne, we work with select factories in China. Their infrastructure, technology and proximity to resources are reflected in the quality of what we produce there.

Pricing

Garments are priced to ensure everyone in the design and supply chain is paid fairly for their expertise.

Packaging

We ship using compostable packaging and avoid single-use plastics.

We're always reflecting, and looking for ways to keep making considered objects without environmental harm.

Diversity and Inclusion

We're committed to representing the broad range of people in our community — through platforming local artists via collaborations, postcards and our Object Merchant events, and by photographing our products across a range of body types, genders and ethnicities.

We remain open to learning, always. If you have thoughts on how we can improve our processes, please reach out.
